You do not need the right words to pray over your work — you need to actually do it. Here are ten short prayers for entrepreneurs, one for each of the moments a founder keeps meeting. Pray them as they are, or let them prime your own.
"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
For the day
- Morning: "Lord, before the inbox — this day and this work are yours. Lead me."
- Focus: "Quiet the noise. Show me the one thing that matters most right now."
- Decisions: "Give me wisdom I don't have, and the humility to take it."
For the pressure
- Fear: "I hand you the number that kept me up. You are bigger than the runway."
- The pitch: "Let me be honest and clear. The outcome is yours."
- Waiting: "Your timing is not late. Help me trust it while I work."
For the people
- My team: "Make me a leader worth following. Let them flourish, not just perform."
- A hard conversation: "Few words, and the right ones. Grace and truth together."
- A win: "This came from you. Keep me grateful and keep me humble."
- The close of the day: "I set it down. Thank you. I trust you with what I couldn't finish."
Prayed once, these are nice. Prayed daily, they slowly change the founder saying them.
